# Sign in and return to your work

Open your Strive workspace and choose **Sign in** when prompted. Complete your organisation's sign-in flow with the account you intend to use. A direct link to a protected page returns you to that destination after authentication.

## Choose the correct account

Workspaces and app ownership are tied to identity. If an item appears missing, open Profile and check the account and organisation before creating another copy. A shared app can offer a different level of access from the main workspace.

An anonymous visitor can use an app deliberately made public. That access does not sign them into the owner's management workspace. A private app instead requires the applicable sign-in and sharing permissions.

## If sign-in is interrupted

If authentication is taking too long, Strive can show a recovery page with Retry. Retry preserves the requested destination. Complete any provider prompt that remains open, then return to the workspace.

Avoid repeatedly opening new sign-in windows. Check that the browser allows the normal sign-in session and that you used the right organisation address. If the provider says you do not have access, ask your organisation's administrator to check membership.

## Access denied and not found

Access denied means your current identity cannot use the requested surface. A not-found result can also represent an unavailable or inaccessible resource; it does not prove that another account can see it. A bookmark is a location, not an access grant.

Use the [launcher](/docs/getting-started/launcher) to return to an available page. See [session recovery](/docs/account/sessions) if the workspace signed you out while you were working.
