# Create an app from a blueprint

A blueprint is a prepared starting experience. Strive creates the app and its supporting workflows and connections together, so you can begin with the product experience instead of assembling its parts by hand.

## Create from a blueprint

1. Open **Apps**, then **New App**.
2. Find **Start from a blueprint** and select an available card. Read its description to confirm it serves your task.
3. Enter a **Title** for the new app.
4. If a **Default LLM model** selector appears, choose a model supported by the blueprint's workflows. Recommended choices are marked; an unavailable choice includes its reason.
5. Choose **Create** and wait for provisioning to finish.

Strive opens the new app's detail workspace. This is a new application with its own provisioned resources. A blueprint that is unavailable cannot be selected; use an available blueprint or template instead.

## Check the result

Review **Overview** to see whether the app is serving or needs to be started. Visit **Workflows** and **Connections** to see what was provisioned, and **Parameters** when available to adjust the app's ongoing behavior. Use the app's instructions for its first meaningful input, such as uploading documents or selecting topics.

An empty title prevents creation. Model requirements are checked against the workflow capabilities available to the deployment, so the model offered in a conversation elsewhere is not automatically valid for this app. Provisioning failures appear under the create controls; keep the message and correct the identified requirement before resubmitting.

If your task requires more configuration than the blueprint exposes during creation, use [Create from a template](/docs/apps/create-from-template). For a custom layout and data-source arrangement, use [Create a blank app](/docs/apps/create-blank).
