# Data

Data is the place to inspect records that have been brought into Strive or produced by its workflows. It is different from browsing a provider's current files or database directly. A provider item can change independently of a previously stored workflow result.

## Start with a source

Open Data to see sources grouped by the run and, where applicable, the workflow step that produced the records. This organization helps you distinguish outputs from separate executions and separate steps within the same execution.

Choose a source to open its records. Use the source name, type information, record counts, and creation context to locate the output you need. Sources and records are paginated; continue loading when more results are available. The visible page is not always the complete set.

An **Unsorted** bucket holds records without an attributed source. It is a browsing category rather than a normal workflow-produced source, so it does not offer the same source-deletion action.

## Inspect a record

Open a record to see its name, type, source, creation time, available size information, and content. The content viewer adapts to structured JSON, tabular content, text, Markdown, and supported files. A large or unsupported file can require a download rather than an inline view.

Follow the source link to return to the relevant connection or workflow context. Use the originating run to understand the inputs and processing that produced the record; do not infer its history solely from the current provider data.

## Keep lifecycle boundaries clear

Deleting a source in Data permanently removes the output records in that source. It does not delete the workflow that produced them. The workflow can produce new records on a later run. Revoking its connection also has a separate effect from deleting already stored records.
