# Find your way around

The Assistant is the landing page after sign-in. The main navigation takes you to Apps, Workflows, Connections, Data, Notifications, Profile, and Settings. On smaller screens, use the compact navigation and menus to reach the same areas.

## Main workspace areas

**Apps** lists the applications you can manage. An app's workspace keeps its Overview, Parameters when available, Data, Workflows, Connections, Activity, Versions when supported, and Settings together. Overview is the app itself; the other sections explain and manage what powers it.

**Workflows** lists processes and their execution history. Open a workflow to run it, inspect a selected execution, read step results, and edit its recipe.

**Connections** holds service access and storage. Connect a service once, test it, then choose it in a workflow or app that needs it.

**Data** is for browsing sources and individual records. It is useful when you want to inspect information independently of the app that displays it.

## Open an app or manage it

An app has a dedicated address for using its interface. Its management workspace is separate. A shared visitor may be able to use the app while its management controls remain unavailable. Bookmark the app address for daily work; use its management link when you need to change the app itself.

## Page actions and the Assistant

The page header offers actions for the item you are viewing. Some less common actions appear in an overflow menu. Disabled controls can explain a missing permission, a busy operation, or a prerequisite.

Open the Assistant on a page with its header button or **Cmd/Ctrl+J**. It starts with context about that page. Use **Cmd/Ctrl+K** for the [launcher](/docs/getting-started/launcher), which jumps to areas and finds commands.

## Return to a specific item

App sections, workflow runs, connection documents and table rows, data records, and notifications can have direct links. If sign-in is required, Strive returns you to the requested destination after authentication. A bookmark can stop working if an item is deleted or your access changes; it does not grant access by itself.
