Set app Trash retention
Control the recovery window for deleted apps across the organisation.
Administrators can open Settings → App Trash to choose how long deleted apps remain recoverable before permanent deletion.
Set the recovery window
Enter a whole number from 1 to 3,650 days, then Save. The setting applies to the whole organisation, including apps already in Trash. Their eligibility for permanent deletion is recalculated from each app's original deletion time.
This is a recovery policy, not a separate backup or a guarantee of legally required retention. Permanent purge removes the app's recoverable resources and history within the product's purge rules.
Shorten with care
Strive previews how many existing trashed apps would become eligible immediately. The confirmation names that count. Review important items in Trash and restore what should be kept before confirming a shorter period.
If the impact preview cannot be checked, resolve that failure before saving the shorter policy. If another administrator changes the setting while you edit, refresh, review the new current value, and retry your intended change.
Inherit the default
Choose Use default or clear the input and save. The organisation then follows the deployment's default retention policy, including future changes to that default. The displayed effective value is what determines the current recovery window.
Check the result
Read the saved effective period and how many trashed apps were updated. Open App Trash to inspect individual deadlines. Increasing retention does not bring back an app already purged.
