Schedule an app's work
Configure supported refresh cadences and interpret the next-run display.
Some templates expose a cadence parameter that controls one of the app's provisioned workflow schedules. Use this setting when you want the app to refresh automatically rather than starting every run yourself.
Set the cadence
- Open the app's Parameters section.
- Find the schedule or cadence field described by the template.
- Choose a supported preset.
- Review the schedule summary identifying the workflow it drives.
- Choose Save changes.
The supported app-parameter presets are:
| Cadence | Schedule |
|---|---|
| Hourly | At the start of every hour. |
| Every six hours | At 00:00, 06:00, 12:00, and 18:00. |
| Daily at 07:00 UTC | Every day at 07:00 UTC. |
| Weekly Monday at 07:00 UTC | Every Monday at 07:00 UTC. |
These schedules use UTC. The next-run timestamp may be displayed in your browser's local timezone, so read it together with the cadence and timezone. The app's preset field accepts its supported choices rather than arbitrary cron expressions.
What changes when you save
Saving updates the scheduled workflow trigger alongside the parameter change. Subsequent runs read the app's current parameters. A same-value save also reconciles a schedule that drifted from the app's selected preset.
The displayed next run is advisory: it reflects the stored workflow trigger and is not proof that a scheduler has accepted or executed the job. No next run scheduled can mean the workflow is disabled, not using a cron trigger, or lacks a valid next-run calculation. Check the workflow's status and Activity when an expected run does not appear.
An immutable active release uses its published configuration for admitted runs. Updating a draft cadence or parameter is separate from choosing the release deployment; follow Releases when distributing a fixed experience.
If the schedule selection is rejected, keep the other parameter edits on screen, correct the identified cadence, and save again. If someone else changed the parameters, Reload replaces your local draft, after which you can reapply the intended schedule.
