Smart Demo
Try an end-to-end app with sample sales records, aggregation, and a model-written narrative.
Smart Demo is a compact way to explore how an app turns records into a useful interface. It starts with built-in sales examples, groups their values by region, and asks a model to explain the results. You do not need to connect an external sales account.
Run the example
- Create an app from Smart Demo and give it a title.
- Open the running app and choose Run demo.
- Watch the run status until processing finishes.
- Read the regional totals in the metrics table and compare them with the narrative.
The table groups records by region and sums sales. The narrative explains those results in plain language. It is generated output, so check any specific number or comparison against the table. The example records demonstrate the workflow; they are not your organisation’s sales history.
Explore the app
In app management, open Workflows and inspect the main workflow. Follow the path from seeded records through aggregation to the narrative. Select a run to examine the intermediate outputs. In the builder, inspect the metrics table, narrative text, run button, and status component to see how the interface binds to workflow results.
Change the presentation first if you are learning: adjust a label, table column, or explanatory text, preview, and save. To use real sales records, replace the sample source with a suitable connected source and map its region and amount fields to the aggregation. Validate with a small known dataset before using a larger collection.
Re-run and troubleshoot
A new run can produce differently worded narrative text even when the totals stay the same. If nothing appears, check the selected run, its completion status, the table’s data binding, and the model budget. If the totals look wrong after changing the source, inspect the incoming records and numeric types before changing the narrative prompt.
See workflow outputs and the app builder for the tools used by this template.
Parameter reference
These are the starting template’s declared parameters. Your saved app can have its own version of the schema. A default applies when no explicit value is supplied; a required field still needs a valid value.
| Setting | Accepted value | Required | Default | What it controls |
|---|---|---|---|---|
title (title) | string; minimum characters 1; maximum characters 200 | Yes | Not specified | The app title; also woven into the provisioned workflow names. |
title: exposed as an app interface parameter.
Connection slots
| Slot | Required | Initially enabled |
|---|---|---|
| No external or managed slot required by the starter | — | — |
Choose compatible saved connections for user-supplied slots. Managed slots are supplied by Strive. Disabling an optional slot stops its use without necessarily deleting the saved binding. See connector policy.
Included workflows
| Workflow | Steps in the starting recipe | Trigger |
|---|---|---|
main | 8 | manual |
Inspect the saved app’s workflows for changes made after creation. A workflow’s presence does not mean that every interaction runs every workflow.
