Understand attention items and task progress
Read the workspace brief, task steps, and processing status.
The Assistant's brief highlights things that need attention, such as a failed workflow run or a connection needing sign-in. On the main page it covers the workspace; in a page panel it focuses on that page.
Act on an attention item
Open an item's link to inspect its real state. Ask for an explanation when the cause is unclear. A failed run can need a configuration fix, a credential update, an available budget, or an explicit retry; the visible failure is the starting point for diagnosis.
Dismissing an item removes it from the brief where supported. It does not repair the underlying failure or mark the affected workflow successful. Keep the distinction between “I have seen this” and “this is resolved”.
Follow a running task
The transcript shows work steps and result panels. The dock can show the current to-dos and a stats line. These describe the Assistant task; a separately submitted workflow, import, deployment, or transfer has its own durable status.
If the conversation stops updating, inspect the linked operation. Do not infer that an external action failed simply because the chat connection ended.
Interrupt or refine the request
Use a visible stop or cancellation control for the activity it names. Explain a changed requirement in a new message. Cancelling a task cannot reliably retract changes already committed or requests already delivered to an external service.
When the Assistant proposes several steps, review the sequence and the intermediate results. Completing its to-do list does not substitute for checking the app or data you intend to use.
