Create and revoke share links
Provide anonymous access through an unlisted link and rotate it when needed.
A Share link lets anyone holding the generated address open and use the app without signing in. It is separate from the app's permanent address and from the Public app setting.
Create and copy a link
- Open the app's Settings → Sharing.
- Turn Share link on.
- Wait for the generated link to appear and the setting to save.
- Choose Copy and distribute the copied address to the intended recipients.
The generated address is difficult to guess, but possession is the access mechanism. A recipient can forward it. Treat the link as granting use of the app and the data the interface exposes; it does not create isolated data for each visitor.
Regenerate a link
Choose Regenerate and confirm when you want a replacement. Regeneration invalidates the old link, including access issued through that old link on subsequent requests. Copy the new link and replace any published or distributed copies you still want people to use.
The app itself and its records stay in place. Regeneration changes this access path rather than creating another app.
Turn link access off
Disable Share link and confirm the revocation. The existing link stops granting access. If you enable link sharing again, distribute the newly generated address.
Revoking the Share link does not revoke Public app, Team access, or tenant grants. A visitor who can enter through another enabled mode may still use the app. Review the full Sharing section when your intent is to close access entirely.
Check the recipient experience
Open the copied address in a separate signed-out session. Verify that the correct app and expected data appear. This link is no longer valid asks the recipient to request a new link; this neutral message does not distinguish every underlying cause. Use a freshly copied link and confirm the app is active and serving. If link access succeeds but the app is still starting, the viewer can offer Try again for readiness.
Shared visitors do not receive management permissions or owner review authority. If your task needs controlled approvals, use the authorized review workflow rather than relying on possession of a share link. See Sharing.
