Read documents and find passages
Use original views, extracted text, document search, and citation navigation.
Open a processed document to use its reader. Depending on the document and App, the reader can show original pages, extracted text, or choose the appropriate view automatically. The original view is useful for layout, signatures, and formatting; text is useful for searching and reading extracted passages.
Search within the document
Use the reader's find bar to search the open document. Step through the available matches. Search counts and navigable highlights can differ when the index finds text that the current rendering cannot highlight exactly. A match count is not a promise that every occurrence has a painted highlight on screen.
More document segments may load as you read. Check loading and empty states rather than interpreting a partly loaded view as the full document. Press Escape to clear the find query; if the reader is closable and there is no query to clear, Escape can close it.
Follow citations
Selecting a citation can open the reader at a quoted passage. The reader distinguishes an exact painted location, an approximate location, a page-level landing, a document-level landing, and a location it cannot paint. If it lands broadly, read the quote and surrounding source manually rather than treating the viewport as an exact highlight.
Versions and export
An editable reader can show a saved version or the current document. Check the displayed version before making comparisons. Export produces the representation provided by the reader's configured export action; confirm the outcome before assuming a download completed.
An unavailable original or unsupported preview does not mean the extracted record is absent. Use the available download or text view, and preserve the distinction between the current document and captured evidence used by an earlier table or review.
