Work with the Assistant
Use one conversation system across the workspace and individual pages.
The Assistant can explain workspace information, help build apps and workflows, connect services, inspect results, and propose changes. The main Assistant page sees the workspace broadly. The side panel focuses on the page where you open it.
Start a conversation
Open Assistant from the navigation. Its greeting highlights items that need attention and offers starter prompts. Choose a suggestion or describe a task. Specific requests work well: “Find the failing step in yesterday's invoice ingest” is more actionable than “Fix everything”.
The transcript shows answers, the steps taken, result panels, and links to the actual product pages. Tables and snippets let you inspect information before deciding what to change.
Understand an action
Reading information and changing it have different effects. A proposed change appears on a card with Apply, Change something, and Cancel. Review the target, details, and effect before applying. Processing, starting apps, and external service actions can consume resources or have effects outside Strive.
The composer lets you choose a model and an approval mode for the conversation. Even when automatic changes are selected, actions requiring explicit approval or a human-only decision retain that requirement. See approvals.
Keep the context clear
Name the app, workflow, or connection when several have similar names. Attach files when the task requires them. A file name alone does not give the Assistant access to a file on your computer. Do not paste passwords or access tokens into messages; use the credential card.
Follow the outcome
An accepted proposal can start a longer operation. Use the linked app, workflow run, import, or transfer to follow it to completion. An answer saying an operation was requested is different from a finished result. Ask the Assistant to inspect the saved operation if the reply is interrupted.
Use History to continue earlier conversations, skills for reusable tasks, and memory for facts you want remembered across conversations.
