Use the Assistant on a page

Keep page context, continue a conversation, and move between panel and full-page views.

Open the Assistant from a page header or press Cmd/Ctrl+J. The panel offers actions and a brief related to the page you are viewing. It does not create a conversation merely because you opened it; the first message starts one.

Page-focused help

On a workflow page, ask about the workflow or its run. On a connection page, ask about its state, access, or data. Page action chips can navigate to a relevant view or begin the corresponding task.

The context helps identify what you mean, but it does not change your permissions. The Assistant cannot use a shared viewer's access to administer an owner's resources.

Moving to another page

An idle panel follows the new page and its conversation. A panel with an unfinished draft, pending proposal, or running turn keeps that conversation. It shows where it started and offers Switch to this page when you want the new context instead.

Check the origin label before sending a request such as “delete this” after navigating. If several objects are involved, name the intended target explicitly.

Continue in the full Assistant

Choose Open in Assistant to move the conversation to the full page. Its next turns can work across the workspace. The page and panel are two views of the same history, so you do not need to copy the transcript.

In History, Continue here opens the conversation on the Assistant page. Continue on page returns to its original page with the panel open. A page-origin badge identifies where a panel conversation began.

Different screen sizes

A wide screen gives the panel a resizable column. Medium screens use a drawer; narrow screens use a bottom sheet. Changing layout does not start a new conversation. Closing the panel hides the view; inspect task status before assuming that closing it cancelled a running operation.
