Recover an uncertain operation

Check saved results before retrying processing, generation, imports, or writes.

A timeout or lost browser response does not establish whether the action failed. Work may already have been accepted, completed, or partially applied.

Inspect before repeating

Open the relevant operation, run, import, transfer, review generation, or document receipt. Read its status, time, and identifiers. Ask the Assistant to inspect the saved operation if you cannot find it.

For supported operations, an exact retry returns the original saved outcome rather than starting a second action. Use the product's explicit retry control and keep its original choices. A changed target, file, set of parameters, or source revision is a new intent.

Generation has a special cost

A model call can have an unknown outcome after it was submitted. Some managed generation paths refuse automatic retries so the same uncertain call is not billed or published twice. Check the saved generation before requesting another. A completed but invalid response can follow its bounded correction policy; that is distinct from blindly repeating a lost provider call.

Partial file transfers

Inspect per-item receipts. Completed copies remain after cancellation. A move can leave the source when cleanup cannot safely establish its revision. Do not infer that all files are in one place from the operation's overall label.

What to retain

Keep the operation identifier and original request context until the outcome is understood. Do not close the only pending review-generation view before using its same-request retry if that retry state is held in the current browser. After reload, reopen the saved review and read its receipts first.

An unresolved outcome may need an administrator or support to inspect it. Report the identifiers and timing, not credentials or private file bytes.
